System Requirements
To fully enjoy SlideDog for Windows you need a couple of third-party software packages installed. We also recommend running SlideDog on a decent computer (mid 2000s or later). That being said, it pretty much comes down to what files you want to show and their requirements. If a PowerPoint show runs fine on your laptop, it will work in SlideDog.
Minimum System Requirements

SlideDog supports Windows Vista and later editions. It’s recommended that you enable Desktop Composition/Aero if you’re planning to use SlideDog’s dual screen mode.
SlideDog will pre-load the files you add to your playlists and therefore we recommend having at least 2Gb of RAM and a modern processor.

SlideDog will run on most modern computers with Windows Vista or later, but at a minimum you should have:

  • Microsoft® Windows Vista® Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise (including 64 bit editions) with Service Pack 2, Windows 7, Windows 8 Classic or Windows 10 Home
  • 2.33GHz or faster x86-compatible processor, or Intel Atom™ 1.6GHz or faster processor for netbook class devices
  • Intel GMA 950 or better (Windows Aero capable graphics chipset)
  • 512MB of RAM (4GB recommended)
  • 1 GB of free disk space
Software Requirements

SlideDog will use programs on your computer to show presentation files correctly. The list below shows the different software that are needed for specific file types.

  • VideoLan VLC Media Player (for video)
  • PowerPoint Viewer 2010 or Office PowerPoint 2007/2010/2013/2016 (for PPT)
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader or Adobe Acrobat Pro (for PDF)
  • Google Chrome (for Web pages)
